First British Bully To Be Locked Down

Keeley Houghton, an 18 year old girl from Worcestershire, has been put behind bars after posting threats online that she would kill Emily Moore. Moore had been bullied for four years when this incident occurred. She had been physically assaulted and her house had also been damaged. Houghton had previously been convicted of these incident and had also been expelled from school. Houghton says that she posted the threats online at night while being drunk. However, as research showed, the messages were posted at 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Houghton is the first to be locked down in Britain as a result of assaulting someone through a social networking site.
I totally agree with locking Houghton up. The fact that a lot of people can get away with messages like that is astounding to me. However, this post was put online for everyone to see. Think about all the private messages that can be sent to people. Not everything is visible to the eye, which is what makes it so terrifying. And if someone is really after you and you don’t have Facebook or something similar, they’ll get your email-address or your phone number. Bullying doesn’t just happen through the internet, though it is terrifying that it can. However, I am pleased to hear that measures are being taken to go against cyber-bullying.
